The Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event calls itself "The best weekend all year," which is a pretty lofty claim, but that doesn't mean it isn't true! I always look forward to Rolex and this year's was a good one. After a couple with years of very wet cross-country days, the rain mostly stayed away and the sun even showed up a few times this year. There were a lot of first-time Rolex riders alongside the veterans. It's always fun to see newcomers have a good experience here.

A few highlights from the first horse inspection along with dressage, cross-country, and stadium jumping are below. You'll find more photos of all of the horses and riders in the 2017 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event gallery.
